The Theory on Education

For all the different spaces we’ve worked in, there’s something special about translating the energy academic environments offer.

Posters and Postcards

There are some jobs that you walk away from feeling more inspired and enlightened than when you began the project. Our recent work with Cleveland Central Catholic High School to help build their enrollment was one of those jobs.

From the dedication, patience, and commitment of their entire staff, to the energy of the student body, we ran across a reminder that the value of being committed and moving forward, no matter the obstacles, is unparalleled. We met kids that have been empowered to build robots, objectively debate the status of the world, and write poetry with passion.

This series of posters and postcards showcases the numerous extracurriculars and programs available to students at the school.

Adaptive Sports

Continuing our long relationship with Adaptive Sports Ohio’s basketball program, we had the opportunity to again add to their library of short video stories, revealing what makes this organizations’ goals so important to so many people.

Cleveland Foundation

The Cleveland Foundation’s mission is to enhance the lives of all residents of Greater Cleveland, now and for generations to come, by working together with our donors to build community endowment, address needs through grantmaking, and provide leadership on key community issues.

These images were for an Annual Report that illustrated the impact of key personalities from the foundations history and their lasting effects.

Going Up

This client was looking for simplicity and consistency in the background that would offer a little more interest than a traditional canvas background. Taking an alternate view of a very common area, we ended up utilizing their elevator lobby. And yes…there were a few outtakes with surprised elevator riders stepping into the frame.

Kruzinki’s

Kruzinski’s Meats in Slavic Village has been a mainstay in this ever-changing neighborhood, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the quality of the “hand-pinched” pirogues and locally made Kielbasa (street name Kobass) this small corner shop continues to provide.

A few years ago, as a personal project, I spent a few days just “hanging out”, capturing a little of the day-to-day there. Some things have changed and some of these folks are no longer there, but the quality and traditions still remain.

Boys Club-Girls Club

As stated in their website: “BGCC exists so we can provide children who are most in need a safe place to grow, learn and realize their full potential. They will become tomorrow’s parents, workers and leaders. With a wide range of programs, we support healthy lifestyles, academic success, character-building and leadership development.”

They forget to mention supplying a place where kids can just have a heck of a lot of fun being kids.

Botanical Gardens: Library Build

Following are a few images for a library build we did for the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Tasked with showcasing the diversity of environments, indoor and out, and the potential each separate garden held, was probably one of the easiest challenges we’ve ever faced, as there was something pretty awesome at every turn.
